thank you for your interest in joining us as a volunteer facilitator!
Check out our FAQs page has information on what you can expect from training and what we require of volunteers.
The link below takes you to a form which asks some questions over three categories:
Your Eligibility - what we require for you to join us as a volunteer
Your Perspective and Experience - we want to learn a little more about you and what you can bring to our work
About You - how to contact you and other information that we need for you to attend training and workshops
As per our Gender Inclusion Policy, our Standard Volunteer Training is open to men* (people who identify solely or primarily as men, or non-binary people who are men passing/presenting). See the diagram below for details.
Any women or people who don't identify solely or primarily as men completing this form will be contacted about our specific Mixed Workshop Volunteer Training opportunities when they arise.
The training to become a volunteer consists of:
PART 1: one full day (9am-5pm) covering the broad concepts that underpin our work (gender equality, Feminism etc)
PART 2: covering an introduction to group facilitation and how to deliver the workshop activities. This is either delivered via another full-day, usually held a week after Day 1 (e.g. two consecutive Saturdays) OR as part of two evening sessions.
You must complete all parts of Day 1 and Day 2 to be eligible to deliver our workshops.
After you've completed your training there will be an opportunity for you to sit in and observe a workshop before you deliver one yourself. We are there to support you every step of the way and we make sure that you have all the skills and knowledge you need to be able to run a fun and engaging session. Once you have joined our team of volunteer facilitators there are ongoing opportunities for training and development so you can sharpen and expand your skills.
If you have any questions about the role, the workshops or this application please email firstname.lastname@example.org
